Haus

Right now, the inside of my brain looks like this...

HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE PAINT COLOUR SCHEMES HOUSE HOUSE WINE GLASSES SHELVES HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE SKIRTING BOARDS HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE DUVET COVER CAKE TINS HOUSE

It's not pretty but there is a good reason for it. Yes, finally, over two months since I put the offer in on the palace, tonight I went and signed the contract. Barring an absolute disaster, the house is mine and hopefully completion should take place on Friday. Terrifying yet incredible.

Of course, me being me, I hadn't let myself believe that it was acually going to happen so I'm completely ill-prepared. I don't know what colours I want on the walls. I don't know which wallpaper I want. I don't even know where I want to put the sofa. So now I need to start planning in earnest.

One thing I am sure of though, is that I need this duvet cover in my life...

Good luck Helen, you really deserve this one to go swimmingly!
I've been in my little slice of the London property pie for 6 months now and STILL am procrastinating and umming and aahing about decor and design. Luckily it was beautifully kitted out when I bought it but I still want to put my personal splash on it but just cannot make a decision!

Adorable duvet set :) x

Congratulations!! Having your own place is brilliant. I remember when me and my boyfriend were buying, when we put in offer number 1, I started a file of decorationy bits I wanted, it got bigger and bigger. Come offer 9, I'd totally given up and that was the place we got. I checked my file and nothing in there was to my taste any more so I was in the same bind as you.

You'll have a fantastic time choosing everything you want and the feeling you get when it's all done TO YOUR TASTE is a rather good one.

Congrats!

Are you getting that fabulous jelly & cake wallpaper for your kitchen?! You MUST Helen! I'm looking at moving out next year but just renting for a bit, otherwise I would go for it ;)

Bee - Thankyou! It's finally all sorted and I am so relieved. My house is rather shabby so I've kind of been forced into sprucing it up immediately! Probably for the best as I'd never get round to it otherwise! x

Leddy - Thankyou! x

Em - Off to IKEA tonight, it will be mine!!

Rhamnousia - I'm so excited about decorating! Can't wait to have everything just the way I want it. I'm quite lucky, as this is only the 3rd house that I saw!

Ayden - Aww, thanks lovely! I'm so excited. I'm actually unbearable to be around at the moment! Haha x

Kirsty - I love it too. I want the chairs! x

Helen - I really really want to! But my kitchen is mostly tiled. I might get it for the future though as hoping to redo the kitchen completely!

Vicky - Thankyou!

Kb - It's been the most stressful experience of my whole life but now I'm just ridiculously excited!
