My nemesis and downfall

001: I'm in that strange limbo period between Christmas and New Year when I stay up too late, wake up too late and am never entirely sure what day it is. I'm not back in work until the 4th January and I'm genuinely slightly concerned that I will have forgotten not only the passwords to my work computer but also how to do my job. Worrying.

002: Christmas was WONDERFUL. It was one of the nicest I've ever had and I was utterly spoilt by my parents. I got not one, not two but three lovely prints from Keep Calm Gallery. I cannot wait to get those bad boys framed and up on my far-too-bare walls. Christmas was quiet, relaxing and filled with far too much food and one too many gin and tonics. Basically perfect then.

003: The Sainsburys man has just delivered and I'm now eating fruit for the first time in about a week. Shocking. After 11 months of Slimming World plan following, Christmas was a complete shock to the system. I feel bloated and MASSIVE and I'm actually relishing the thought of salads, fruit and green tea. Must lose holiday weight. Must lose holiday weight. Etc etc etc.

004: I ventured into Manchester yesterday, intending to do a bit of sale shopping. After spending 45 minutes in the queue at Primark I couldn't face going to any other shops and so headed home. I did buy a onesie with rabbit ears though. It's simultaneously the most incredible and most horrific thing I've ever bought and I haven't taken it off since I got home.

005: I'm currently making a list of resolutions for 2011. Things I want to achieve include hitting my target weight, blogging more (I'm aware that posting has been seriously scant of late but I really have been busier than a very busy thing) and getting fit.

So, my lovelies, how was Christmas for you? Any exciting presents? Any amazing sale finds?

I am SO JEALOUS of your onesie!! Our Primark doesn't have the animal ones. Boo.

My first Christmas doing Rosemary Conley, I came back and had lost a pound and a half. The only explanation was that my system had got so used to salads and foods under 5% fat that it couldn't handle all the fatty stuff I wolfed down in December. Handy - but it never worked again!

PS I hear you on limbo - I'm still in my PJs!

Betwixmas is a good name for this time...I already feel like Christmas was ages ago but keep forgetting that we haven't yet had NYE - aah!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas :)

I hear you, I feel so gross. Last night I had Pringles for tea. Ugh. I got a one kilogram Lindt reindeer for Christmas, and I know that at some point I'm going to have to eat it...

I've had some great sale bargains though, and got some lovely goodies for Christmas. My best present was a Kindle!

I know what you mean about the looking-forward-to-healthy-eating. 2011 is the year I do what you did in 2010 with regards to weight, and I'm both dreading it and relishing it.

I would be so excited if we could get little mince pies here.

My grandmother and I are the only ones who like it, and she was far away this Christmas, so I didn't get ANY.

I so laughed reading that you'd bought yourself a onesie! I got one for my uncle as his secret santa present and he was forced to put it on in front of the 22 of us there for Christmas dinner. It is tiger print so I put on the song Tiger Feet for him to dance along to.

Weirdly he was not amused. We were! I'm just dreading next year cause I'm sure he'll arrange to get me and I'll get my comeuppance!

Glad you had a good one. Here is to a fabulous 2011!

Sarah - My onesie is going to be my downfall, I'm convinced of it. I can't take it off! I'm terrified by how much weight I've put on but, I've lost it before, and I'll do it again! xx

LilyLipstick - Aah, I did, thankyou! Hope yours was wonderful too x

Nicola - I had brownies for breakfast on three occasions. A new low. And I'm so jealous of your Kindle! My Dad bought my Mum one and I was tempted to stick it in my bag! Haha x

Amy - You can do it! And if you need any support then I'm here! x

Chamuca - No mince pies?! That is WRONG. Hope you had a good Christmas anyway lady!

Victoria - Aww thankyou! And hello! x

Rapunzel - Onesies are the way forward!!! And yes, here's to 2011 xx
